Guest guest Posted August 13, 2001 Report Share Posted August 13, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Chick-Pea-Tempeh Burgers Recipe By : Serving Size : 11 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 8 oz packages tempeh -- ground 1/4 cup oil 2 tablespoons Bragg's oe tamari 2 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas 1 tablespoon tahini 1/2 tablespoon Spike seasoning 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 cup water paprika for sprinkling In a food processor, using the S shaped blade, grind the tempeh into small pieces. Saute the ground tempeh in a fry pan with oil and Bragg's. In the food processor, combine all the ingredients (except the tempeh and paprika) with 1/2 cup water and blend well. Mix tempeh with the blended mixture. Form into burgers on an oiled baking sheet and sprinkle with the paprika. Bake in a 350F preheated oven for 30-40 minutes.
