Guest guest Posted August 6, 2001 Report Share Posted August 6, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Divine Cashew-Mushroom Gravy Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 garlic cloves -- minced 2 small onions -- diced 2 cups fresh mushrooms -- sliced 2 cups water 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 3 1/2 tablespoons cashew butter 2 tablespoons Bragg's or tamari 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder yields 2 to 3 cups. In a small pot, saute garlic and onions, then add mushrooms and simmer until vegetables are soft. In a blender, blend remaining ingredients. Pour mixture into the pot and simmer until arrowroot thickens the gravy. Stir often. This gravy is the perfect complement for mashed potatoes and loaves.
