How about nut butters? Peanut butter and saltines are gooo-oood when the

cravings hit. Can you get carob chips? Aren't they vegan? can't recall. Some

of the " energy " bars are dairy free.

 

There's always bananas.

Banana Pecan Logs (Banana Redwood Logs)

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 bananas -- peeled

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons maple syrup

3 tablespoons finely chopped pecans

 

In shallow bowl, combine lemon juice and maple syrup; roll bananas in mixture to

coat. In separate bowl, roll bananas in pecans. Place on plate lined with waxed

paper; freeze for 3 hours. Serve, sliced.

 

FOR THE KIDS: Halve the banana crosswise. Insert a popsicle stick into end. Then

coat; freeze.
