My one weakness is my sweet-tooth. But alas the only cake and brownie

mixes I can find use eggs. Anyone have a recipie they can share? Also

I'm looking for simple recipies (ingredients commenly found in a

small-town, not a lot of choice type grocery store) My family likes

their meat so I need something thats either close enough to their

food (so far only cheese pizza and veggie lasagna) that they won't

mind too much. And I'm also a teenager on the go. Wich major fast

food chains will offer a veggieburger? thanks guys.

Let's all not forget the classic " everyoe " meal for those on the go-

the trusty peanutbutter and jelly sandwich.!! Thius has saved me many times-

especially at family BBQs and get togethers where they had nothing to offer

me.- And it packs easily- you can put wheat germ on it for added crunch and

nutrients!

AS for junk food- I'm in the same boat.. I'm not vegan, but i try to be low

fat, so my cookie monster soul makes it very difficult to lose wieght! I

recently found something I find somewhat satisfying- Caramel Chip rice cakes

by quaker.. your supermarket should have them- and I'm almost positive it's

vegan...They are sweet , lite & crunchy!

also- there was a recipe posted long ago for black bean brownies- I make

them for all occasions and they are a hit with those people who would never

eat it if they knew there was a bean in it! They ar enow my favorite

brownies & my fiance's too

Another thing I do to snack on " junk " food is pack pitted dates or chopped

pitted dates! They ar elike natural little chocolate chewy sugar bombs! haha

I love em!

Best of luck! You're best bet is to start cooking for yourself! I think

you'll like it and people will say- wow- she cooks already?!

Hi Sarah,

I was on vacation and am just wading thru email now. Pizza and

veggie lasagna are indeed good crowd pleasers when mixing veggie folk

with the " meat eaters! " Also, most stores carry some form of garden

burger or Veggie burger. I have seen them at the IGA in Franconia NH

which is a really small store in a town that rolls up its sidewalks

at 6pm! You might also surf the net. Some things that might not be

in your town you could order off the net and have delivered to your

door. Subway used to offer a veggie burger but now they do not.

They do offer a sub called veggie delite which is really delicious

and only 3 fat grams to boot. For a yummy dessert, you could try

freezing grapes to eat when it is really cold (it is soooo good) or

dipping strawberries in melted chocolate. Looks elegant, tastes

divine.
