Put them, unpeeled, on a baking dish, add 1/2 inch water, and cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 375F for 1 hour. Uncover and continue baking until tender when pierced with a knife, 15 to 30 minutes more, depending on the size. Cut them in half and serve them in their jackets or pull back the skins and slice off the root end.
