Guest guest Posted July 17, 2001 Report Share Posted July 17, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Quick Sweet Rolls Recipe By : Serving Size : 24 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Dry: 3 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour 1 tablespoon baking powder plus 1 teaspoon baking powder Add: 1/2 cup wheat bran Wet: 1 1/2 cups water 3 tablespoons oil Filling: 1 orange/lemon peel -- grated 1/4 cup Sucanat 1 cup raisins -- chopped 1 cup nuts -- chopped **** 2 tablespoons oil Sift the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the wheat bran. Stir. In another bowl, mix the water and the oil. Add the dry to the wet and mix. In a separate bowl, mix the filling ingredients. Roll out half the dough on a floured board into a rectangle. Brush 1 tablespoon of oil on top. Add half the filling and spread it out. Roll up the long way and slice into 1-inch pieces. Do the same with the other half of dough. Put the pieces on an oiled and floured baking sheet (or baking paper). Bake in a 400F preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
