Steamed Okra

1 pound okra

clarified butter

lemon wedges

 

The pods look stunning. Rinse 1 pound okra, leave them whole, and

steam them for 4 to 6 minutes. Arrange them on a plate and serve warm

with clarified butter to dip into and lemon wedges to sqeeze over, or

cold with Lemon Vinaigrette, or mayonnaise flavored with curry powder.

 

Serves 4 to 8.
