Tamari Roasted Almonds

tamari soy sauce

almonds

 

Fill an all-purpose spray bottle with tamari.

 

Toast nuts (no liquid) in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, stirring

several times to warm or lightly brown all sides.

 

When the nuts begin to brown, about 3 minutes, spray a coat of tamari that

covers them, not the pan.

 

VARIATION: To use the toaster oven, set it at 350F, stirring twice; takes bout 5

to 6 minutes total.

 

VARIATION: Nuts and seeds can be toasted in this manner.
