Cantaloupe Milk Shake

Recipe By :Vegetarian Classics, Jeanne Lemlin

Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00

Categories : Vegetarian Classics

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

-------- ------------ --------------------------------

1/2 medium to large very ripe cantaloupe

1/4 cup milk

2 teaspoons sugar -- (only if fruit is not sweet)

Use a spoon to scoop the flesh out of the cantaloupe; you should get about 2

cups. Place in a bowl and chill until very cold.

Combine the cantaloupe and milk in a blender and blend until smooth. Taste the

drink. You might need to add the sugar and blend again for a few seconds. Let

the milk shake rest a few minutes before pouring it into a tall glass so the

foam can deflate. Serve with a straw.

TIP: Although it is best to begin with cold cantaloupe, you can serve the milk

shake over ice if you don't have time to chill the fruit.
