Guest guest Posted July 2, 2001 Report Share Posted July 2, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Cantaloupe Milk Shake Recipe By :Vegetarian Classics, Jeanne Lemlin Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Vegetarian Classics Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 medium to large very ripe cantaloupe 1/4 cup milk 2 teaspoons sugar -- (only if fruit is not sweet) Use a spoon to scoop the flesh out of the cantaloupe; you should get about 2 cups. Place in a bowl and chill until very cold. Combine the cantaloupe and milk in a blender and blend until smooth. Taste the drink. You might need to add the sugar and blend again for a few seconds. Let the milk shake rest a few minutes before pouring it into a tall glass so the foam can deflate. Serve with a straw. TIP: Although it is best to begin with cold cantaloupe, you can serve the milk shake over ice if you don't have time to chill the fruit.
