Guest guest Posted June 26, 2001 Report Share Posted June 26, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Broccoli, Macadamia, and Garlic Salad Recipe By :Jane Sen Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup cooked chickpeas -- approximately 2 tablespoons olive oil 1/2 cup cider vinegar -- scant 2 garlic cloves 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 2 to 3 firm heads broccoli -- divided into florets and sliced from stem to top, very thinly 1 cup macadamia nuts or 1 cup toasted pine nuts Combine first 5 ingredients in a blender for a few seconds until the mixture is the consistency of light cream. Add a little water or lemon juice if it's a bit thick. Pile the broccoli onto a plate or in a shallow bowl. Scatter with the nuts and drizzle the dressing over the top.
