I've made this several times using Smart Dogs from Light Life and it turned

out really well! I'm sure it could be made Vegan if you wished.

Barbecue Franks and Noodles

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 cup chopped onion

1 8 ounce can tomato sauce

1/2 cup chili sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

4 ounces noodles -- uncooked

1/4 teaspoon paprika

8 smart Dogs

1 can mushrooms

8 ounces fat-free mozzarella cheese

 

Spray small saucepan. Add onions and mushrooms. Cook until tender, about

5 minutes, stirring frequently.

 

Add small amounts of water, if necessary, to prevent sticking.

 

Add tomato sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar and paprika. Bring mixture to

boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes.

 

While sauce is cooking, cook noodles according to package directions.

Drain.

 

Preheat oven to 350.

 

Lightly spray and 8 inch square baking pan.

 

Spread noodles in prepared pan. Spread Smart Dog slices evenly over

noodles. Spoon sauce evenly over pan.

 

Sprinkle some Fat Free cheese over the mixture for extra taste.

 

Cover with aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes.
