Tomato Red Pepper Mousse

2 cups water

1/2 cup agar flakes

1/2 cup tahini

6 ounces tomato paste

1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes

2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 cloves garlic)

1 teaspoon sea salt

dash cayenne pepper

1/3 cup roasted red pepper -- minced

 

Whisk together water and agar flakes in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil,

then reduce heat to medium low, sttirring now and then for a few minutes more.

 

Put all the ingredients into a blender (except red pepper), and blend well.

Stir red pepper into the mixture by hand.

 

Put mixture into a lightly oiled mold and chill for 2 hours until set. Unmold

before serving.

NOTES : You can slice a pate or mousse and use it as a filling for lasagne or

enchiladas. Also, place a slice of mousse on cooked lasgne noodles and roll up

pinwheel style. Cover with a sauce and bake 30 minutes at 350F.
