I was rather impressed with the book too. I'd picked it up at Marshall's a year or so ago for $2.99 and then just stuck it on my bookshelf. I thought it was just going to be recipes using Gardenburgers. But, as we know now, it is much more. And it is very similar to the way we actually eat at home, plain and simple foods with little if any fat and lots of fruit, veggies and fiber. What a change, in a way, to go to this week's cookbook-of-the-week, Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone. Madison impresses me in a different way: she knows about cooking and foods and teaches us a lot in her recipes, notes, and detailed comments. It is becoming a basic reference book at our house. I might not use many of her recipes, or take all the oil out of them, but she teaches me the basics which helps me with other recipes.
