It's supposed to be in the 90's today and this week in Michigan so here are some

sauces to make it quick in the kitchen-

Creamy Cashew Basil Sauce

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/2 cup cashew pieces

10 ounces soft silken tofu

1/2 cup basil leaves -- chopped

1/2 tablespoon garlic -- minced

1/4 cup minced red onions

1 tablespoon liquid aminos

1 cup water

cayenne to taste

 

Toast cashew pieces in toaster oven until lighht brown.

 

Put everything except water into food processor and puree.

 

Transfer to a small saucepan, add water and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until

thick.

 

Serving Suggestion: Over vegetables or grains.
