Guest guest Posted June 11, 2001 Report Share Posted June 11, 2001 It's supposed to be in the 90's today and this week in Michigan so here are some sauces to make it quick in the kitchen- * Exported from MasterCook * Creamy Cashew Basil Sauce Recipe By :A Celebration of Wellness Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup cashew pieces 10 ounces soft silken tofu 1/2 cup basil leaves -- chopped 1/2 tablespoon garlic -- minced 1/4 cup minced red onions 1 tablespoon liquid aminos 1 cup water cayenne to taste Toast cashew pieces in toaster oven until lighht brown. Put everything except water into food processor and puree. Transfer to a small saucepan, add water and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until thick. Serving Suggestion: Over vegetables or grains.
