11 1/4 ounces boxed General Mills Multi- Grain Cheerios

12 1/4 ounces boxed Kellogg's Golden Wheat Nutri-Grain

20 1/2 ounces boxed Kellogg's Low Fat Granola

17 1/4 ounces boxed Kellogg's Almond Raisin Nutri-Grain

16 1/2 ounces boxed Kellogg's Raisin Squares

 

MAKES 5 1/2 POUNDS

 

I love variety in my meals, both in terms of taste and texture; one type of

cereal can become boring! Many years ago, I began this tradition of mixing

whole-grain cereals and storing them in the freezer to keep fresh. Enjoy

this recipe for a while and then branch off and try to make your own

blend. Variety is the spice of life and the secret to this powerhouse medley.

 

Combine all the cereals in a very large bowl or large plastic bag and mix

completely. Store in the refrigerator or freezer in airtight containers or

ziplock bags. Serve as you would any breakfast cereal. Here are some

other quality dry cereals that can be substituted for any or all of the above:

 

Barbara's High 5, Erewhon Fruit 'N Wheat, Erewhon Raisin Bran, Erewhon

Wheat Flakes, Familia No Added Sugar Swiss Muesli, Golden Temple Low Fat

Muesli, Health Valley Fat-Free Granola, Health Valley 100% Natural Bran

with Apples and Cinnamon, Health Valley Real Oat Bran, Kellogg's All-Bran,

LifeStream Fruit and Nut Muesli, Nabisco Shredded Wheat, New Morning Bran

Flakes, New Morning Raisin Bran, Post Bran Flakes, Post Grape-Nuts,

U.S. Mills Skinner's Raisin Bran.
