Guest guest Posted May 31, 2001 Report Share Posted May 31, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Honey-Ginger Glazed Carrots Recipe By : The Vegetarian Grill by Andrea Chesman, page 24 Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Grilling Side Dishes Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil 1 tablespoon honey 1 tablespoon finely minced ginger 2 garlic cloves -- minced 1 teaspoon soy sauce 1 pound carrots quartered lengthwise and cut into 3-inch to 4-inch lengths SERVES 4 The ginger, sesame, and soy give a Chinese twist to these glazed carrots, though not so definitively that you'll feel you can only serve them to accompany a stir-fry. Although I am not a big fan of cooked carrots in general, I am a very big fan of these delightful carrots. 1. Prepare a medium-hot fire in the grill with a lightly oiled vegetable grill rack in place. 2. Combine the sesame oil, honey, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce and mix well. Pour over the carrots and toss to coat. 3. Grill the carrots, tossing frequently, until tender and grill-marked, about 10 minutes. 4.
