Grilled Garlic Bread

1 large loaf coarse textured French or Italian bread

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

4 cloves garlic -- minced

 

Prepare a medium fire in the grill.

 

Slice the bread in half horizontally. Combine the olive oil and garlic and

brush onto the cut sides of the bread.

 

Grill the bread, cut sides up, until lightly toasted, about 4 to 6 minutes.

Turn and grill the cut sides until lightly toasted, about 4 minutes more.

 

To serve, cut the loaf into individual slices and serve warm. If you can't

serve at once, place the bread together so the two grilled sides are touching

and wrap in foil for up to 30 minutes before serving.
