Guest guest Posted July 28, 2007 Report Share Posted July 28, 2007 According to a recently published study (peer reviewed, Japanese scientists) in New Scientist (a British Science Journal), one kilogram (2.2 pounds) of beef is responsible for the equivalent of three hours of driving by the average European car or leaving a 100 watt light bulb on for twenty straight days or 36 kilograms (79.2 pounds) of carbon-dioxide.
