Has your spouse explained to his parents that you are adults and get to make your own choices? I was very clear with my family and my husband's family that my pregnancy and childbirth decisions were mine. I carried the baby. They were not with it 24/7. My husband supported equally. Not sure why it makes such a difference to your in-laws. Do they live close by? Are they planning to make decisions regarding your child? Seems they want to control a great deal. Just wondering why such incredible pressure on you. Guest guest Posted April 20, 2007 Report Share Posted April 20, 2007 I say just put on your game face, get those in-laws to sit down, and tell them straight out that it is NOT their business what you eat or what you feed your children, and to back off!!! If you're happy the way you are, that's what matters!! Be dead serious about it too. I've gone into this only once or twice with family members and NO ONE will go against me intentionally because they know World War three will follow!! Whenever you do get pregnant, you don't even have to tell your in-laws the sex of the baby till he/she is born, just so they'll realize that the important thing is that it's their grandchild in there, whether it's a boy or a girl!!! I guess I'm kind of mean about things... but it works. I live in a city called Medan ( ever heard of ?! ) & yes, my in law lived near by, They are right beside me, my next neighbour :-( Kadee, I'm sorry but I can't turn into HULK cos it will make things turn worse even ( I knew for sure ) and I'm not the good type for argument And my husband is not a vegetarian, though he is not forbid me yet can't expect him to support much ;-( I'm nt pregnant yet, a bit fear, a bit stress, a bit depress,a bit wanna to, all mix together become my daiy juice :-( So i just try to find much much more information that come from reliable source so that i can speak to them based on expert's result about how to expect a son, a rule if any, and try my best to do so but then for myself, a healthy and happy baby such as my adorable daughter is the best gift ever after. :-0 Again, tks Jeni Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
