Guest guest
Hi Everyone - I recently got a pet pug for my daughter. We want to raise our new family member identical to our lifestyle - vegetarian/vegan! Any suggestions on puppy veggie food/treats? Do ya'll know where I can get veggie puppy chow? So far my sister in law found pet co has veggie food. I didn't know if anyone might have any other suggestions or information for me I might want to be aware of. Thanks!!! Guest guest
I hope you got a pug from rescue, if so make sure you change the food over slowly. Mix it in with what he/she is currently eating to avoid an upset stomach. Make sure to let your vet know about the diet choice. Vegetarian animals are more prone to crystals in their urine which can cause infections. Do not give them cranberry juice. I am not saying not to feed a vegetarian diet, I am just bringing up this so you can watch for any potential infections. I mix half vegetarian and half Wellness Simple. ---- lisa castillo <lisarcastillo wrote: ============= Hi Everyone - I recently got a pet pug for my daughter. Guest guest
As for treats, we use Cloud Star Buddy Biscuits. They have sweet potato ones, which I personally like best (yeah, I snack on them occasionally!), and they also have molasses ones. They're tiny little treats so they won't fill up a small puppy. We break them in half for our yorkie puppy. We've also used the Newman's vegetable treats. I don't know if they're vegan but they are vegetarian. The Buddy Biscuits are vegan. We also have started recently slicing sweet potatoes and dehydrating them, which is a great chew treat. lisa castillo <lisarcastillo wrote: Hi Everyone - I recently got a pet pug for my daughter.
