Guest guest
on the subject of the healthy parenting group we were discussing before... kadee - i checked the archives and read over the posts about killing mice. that really was a horrendous thing that woman posted. i would have been all over her too. it looks like you weren't in the minority in calling her on the unnecessary gore and outright glee about her animal cruelty, so that's positive. i also checked the archives for WAP discussions and that seemed fairly positive too. the WAPers seem to be in a minority and i saw lots of people there who were positively in favor of veg and called the WAPers on the carpet for some of their ideas, especially as regards homemade formula (one woman made the very good argument that it's NOT about " just another alternative choice for alternative parents, " it's about giving advice to people that is unfounded and may cause serious harm to their children's health). one of the moderators even closed a post about WAP, saying that the group was veg-friendly and even making an apology to the veg's in the group for the WAPers comments. so i think i'm going to stick it out for now and see how it goes. all of us natural parenting veg's should ambush the group and make sure it stays veg-focused. c'mon, ya know you want to! chandelle'
Guest guest
I received several private messages from people on the group that were reeeeally not nice at all on the subject of a vegetarian diet. And the thing with the mice. Two people e-mailed me privately, and one of them even said keeping rodents in the house with small children was dangerous. Big time bad taste in my mouth for that group. chandelle' <earthmother213 wrote: on the subject of the healthy parenting group we were discussing before... kadee - i checked the archives and read over the posts about killing mice. that really was a horrendous thing that woman posted. i would have been all over her too. it looks like you weren't in the minority in calling her on the unnecessary gore and outright glee about her animal cruelty, so that's positive. i also checked the archives for WAP discussions and that seemed fairly positive too. the WAPers seem to be in a minority and i saw lots of people there who were positively in favor of veg and called the WAPers on the carpet for some of their ideas, especially as regards homemade formula (one woman made the very good argument that it's NOT about " just another alternative choice for alternative parents, " it's about giving advice to people that is unfounded and may cause serious harm to their children's health). one of the moderators even closed a post about WAP, saying that the group was veg-friendly and even making an apology to the veg's in the group for the WAPers comments. so i think i'm going to stick it out for now and see how it goes. all of us natural parenting veg's should ambush the group and make sure it stays veg-focused. c'mon, ya know you want to! chandelle'
