Guest guest
Here are a couple of articles talking about studies looking at probiotics and eczema: http://www.drgreene.org/body.cfm?id=21 & action=detail & ref=1908 http://bastyrcenter.org/content/view/611/ You may have noticed that in these studies they are talking about a specific strain of probiotic - Lactobacillus GG. You may want to check to see if your probiotic contains it. There seem to be many probiotics designed just for children out there, but I haven't seen any made just for children that also have LGG. Here's one for kids that doesn't list it, although since LGG is a member of L. acidophilus, it could possibly be there under that name I guess: http://www.udoerasmus.com/products/probiotics_infants.htm You could call the manufacturer to see if LGG in there and not listed specifically, or you could look for one that lists LGG. Here is a link to a company that makes an LGG probiotic, but it is not marketed as a child's probiotic. However, looking at their webpage, they do have instructions on opening the capsule and adding the powder to a cool drink or applesauce. (Under about Culturelle - Product Information.) Below, I put a link to a place that sells it, although I am sure you could Google it and find it at other online retailers as well. http://www.culturelle.com/index.html Hope this is helpful!
