Guest guest
((I keep telling my husband he should let me marry another man so I can have one that will ACTUALLY TAKE OUT THE TRASH!!! So that's why the spouse/spice thing is funny to me. Plus the rodent reference, we currently have 5 of our own rats, 6 foster rats, 10 mice, and a hamster... a bit of an addiction, eh? )) yes well.. I am not married anymore, but I do have 3 kids, and those 3 kids will actually carry on filling the bin to more than overflowing, but will be damned if they actually take it out without me having to say something! soooooooo infuriating!! no motivation there whatsoever! as for us, I am also a rat lady.. currently we have 14, of which 1 I adopted from a friend, and the other I bought from a pet store fot 2 reasons - 1 because I wanted a female dumbo BADLY, and 2). when I got there, I could tell immediately that this little girl was all of MAYBE 3 weeks old - much too young to be weaned, let alone sold.. therefore, I no longer shop there even for food for my crew. but it's sooo great that you love them too rats are such great little guys, it's really a shame more people don't know this! kudos to you though ((I'm a spider-hater and even then I will catch them, saying " Eeewww! I hate you spider!! Eeeewwww!! " the whole time, and I put them in the garage so they don't freeze outside. My parents always thought I was nuts. Maybe I am, but I'm sure the spiders adore me. )) ahhh, don't hate the spiders.. they keep the bug population, especially the flying bug population down some.. gotta love them for that.. they come in in droves because they are cold.. this is why you're getting them.. I leave them, they are quite welcome in my house, unless I see them run across the floor, and then I am duty bound to catch them and relocate them outside..currently though, I have to say I have a rather beautiful spider in the kitchen. she is long and black, with beautiful long sinuous black legs..I actually play with her by touching the outside of her funnel like web, and she'll feel whatever it is I use to touch it with the ends of her legs. she no longer darts out to see what's happening - I think she's gotten used to me doing this. I just enjoy seeing her, because she really is a pretty thing so efficient and utterly wonderful are spiders and I'm totally getting off topic here, but I wanted to just reply to your post here anyway hope no one minds take care!
