Guest guest
In our discussion on dry skin, eczema, etc. someone mentioned not using soap on the hands as a remedy. I've heard this suggestion before and was wondering what else can you cleanse your hands with other than soap and water?
Guest guest
<<what else can you cleanse your hands with other than soap and water?>> Well, first of all, a lot of what people think is soap is actually detergent. All those liquid " soaps " are really detergent, which makes them much harder on your skin, even the ones that don't have antibacterial components. And if you have soft water, you'll find that soap rinses off much better than detergent. Go with a bar soap instead. There are bar soaps made from pure olive oil or goat's milk, for example. Also, try natural, organic, babies' or children's soap products. They're usually much gentler. Liz
