Guest guest
Here's a veg-friendly book for the list: " Bumposaurus " by Penny McKinlay & Britta Teckentrup ISBN o-7112-2111-1 It's not preachy at all -- story is about a little dinosaur who needs glasses! But what I like is that it is a vegetarian Brontosaurus family. The father reminds the kids that " We Brontosauruses don't believe in eating other dinosaurs! " It's a UK book so there are a few British expressions, e.g. " pudding " instead of " dessert. " Our daughter (like her father before her) loves Richard Scarry books too -- but there are some odd things in those ones. Like the pigs that are butchers and make sausage. Then there are the Maisy books which she also loves -- but I wish they didn't have scenes like friendly happy smiley animals getting hooked onto fishing rods held by other animals. A bit odd. ~Paul
