fostering/adoption [was: How to find a vegetarian/veg-friendly nanny?]

This thread makes me wonder ...

 

Anyone have experience with fostering or adoption?

 

My wife and I have been pondering these ideas. But it occurs to me,

especially with fostering, that the " state " will have all kinds of

questions and checks. They may have an issue with no dairy being in our

home. And I really do not want to raise their interest in the dairy free

diet of the child we already have.

I have three kids adopted from foster care. One while we were veg, two while we

were vegan. I had no issues but I confess I downplayed my diet and didn't make

the no milk change in my sons diet until their adoptions were finalized.
