Earath Balance and B 12

Hi all,

My neighbor uses Smart Balance and I noticed it contains vitamin B12.

I have spoken with people at GFA on several occasions regarding Earth

Balance. I have found them to be very nice and helpful. So, I sent an

email inquiring as to the possible plans for the intro of B12 to EB.

I received a canned response that they couldn't do that because

everyone would want them to change the product.

 

" There are no current plans to introduce Vitamin B12 into Earth

Balance. It is difficult to change products because, for every

consumer who wishes an addition or deletion of an ingredient, there

is a consumer who wishes the opposite.

I replied that this product is their HFS product and is sold to

health conscious people regardless of omnivore or vegan. I told her I

wanted more info on their decision not to include B12 in EB. I

certainly don't understand from her respopnse why it is included in

Smart Balance (used by omni and near carnivores) but not in Earth

Balance which is used widely by vegetarians and vegans. I know they

have changed the formulation of EB before as that was the nature of

my previous communications. (Earth Balance wasn't always GMO-free.

When it became so, the stock number was changed and my HFS quit

carrying it as they were told by the distributor it no longer

existed. I called GFA and was able to get this cleared up for my HFS

and was told for many other stores as well. Also, their sticks had a

mold problem when first introduced and I spoke with somone about

this. Both times I received pleasant and detailed info. I guess I

should have called this time instead of emailed.

 

If you would like to see B12 (a vegetarian source, of course) added

to Earth Balance, please email or call the company. Just put Earth

Balance into your search engine.
