Guest guest
There was a lot of good advice in the formula postings. I couldn't breastfeed either. I had one of those super-pumpers and never got more than about an ouce a day! Which I gave my son, but that isn't even close to enough...I had a very good lactation consultant as well....My son is almost 2 now so it's pretty recent. I ended up using Enfamil Lipil, mainly because that's what I was given as a baby and because at the time Similac was having a major recall due to glass or something in their formula. I'm sure the other brands were just as good, the hospital started us out with the Enfamil and if your baby reacts well you're not supposed to switch so we just kept paying more for it. Anyway, he did great on it. I don't know why they drink it though, that stuff smells/tastes awful!! I've developed a lactose intolerance in my adult life and can't handle dairy anyway, but I'm working on switching my son to soy as well. He likes it, I'm just the only one in the family who is veg. and it's not easy all the time! I like to get my doctors back-up on things. ~Jennifer Skopecek~
