Guest guest Posted October 20, 2006 Report Share Posted October 20, 2006 Hi All, If you have excruciating pain breast feeding, or you know someone who is (not bleeding like Una, but internally), there might be a yeast infection. My friend had that a few times. She had to take nasty drugs to get rid of it, and it was all very stressful and horrible, but she was able to successfully breast feed for a year. I would have done a yeast-free/sugar-free diet, but we all have to make our own decisions. It was difficult to diagnose, so I just wanted to throw that out there as something to watch out for.
