Guest guest
Hi, I started a blog this month chronicling my family's vegan dinner menus each week. On Sunday I post our menu for the upcoming week, and then throughout the week I post updates and photos of how the meals turn out. Hope you like it! Guest guest
Wow! That looks great. This is the kind of thing I was looking for! I have a question though, sorry if its a dumb one, but what's nutritional yeast and is it essential to the recipe? Thanks mary-Elizabeth Amy Nylund <austinvegan wrote: Hi, I started a blog this month chronicling my family's vegan dinner menus each week. Guest guest
It adds vitamins and will give the food sort of a cheesy taste. So it is probably essential to the recipe turning out right. Guest guest
Thank you. Can I get it at the regular grocery store, with the organics? Or should I go to a health food store? Thanks Renee Carroll <renecarol25 wrote: It adds vitamins and will give the food sort of a cheesy taste. So it is probably essential to the recipe turning out right. Guest guest
I would check with your health food stores. Guest guest
Thanks for all the positive feedback on my blog, everyone! Mary-Elizabeth, here are a couple links to some info on nutritional yeast. It provides lots of complete protein and B-12 (make sure to get the fortified kind, such as Red Star brand) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutritional_yeast http://www.efn.org/~sundance/NutritionalYeast.html Take care, Amy http://veganmenus.blogspot.com On Oct 9, 2006, at 8:10 PM, wrote: > 5c. Guest guest
Your best bet is the bulk food section. Make sure the ingredient list includes B12. Not all nutr. yeast are created equal. , MARY-ELIZA FLANNAGAN <mflannagan0705 wrote: > > Thank you. Can I get it at the regular grocery store, with the organics?
