Nothing can legally be tested on a pregnant woman, thus nothing can ever be proven safe for a pregnant woman. Usually the statement says pregnant and nursing moms should consult a dr before taking. Flax oil can be a laxative, but that's about the only reason I can see that caution would really be on there.
