Guest guest
I changed the subject line to make it more appropriate ... Because I find it very inspiring to read all your posts and realise what a difference you/we make. How many fewer slaughter houses there are because of us. Best " results " I've ever had at vegetarian evangelism were unintentional. Roommate in university was a real matter-of-fact meat-and-potatoes guy. Laughed at anything he found silly. I did not want to talk to him about my diet. I probably hid it. But he noticed things in the fridge. He got to asking about them -- veggie pepperoni -- that sort of thing. I would explain in as few words as I could that it was for health, the environment, animal cruelty -- then I would slink away. Imagine my surprise when he began buying his own vegetarian food to try -- even soy milk! So my lesson was I achieved more when I was not trying than at times when I was. Maybe I made it seem like some elusive thing! Take care all, and bon appetit ~Paul -- " Don't say you don't have enough time. Guest guest
I love this title. My own two cents--I've been vegetarian for 39 years. I'm not perfect and don't intend to be, but I am faithful to my diet, and have been for 39 years, which is more than most can say. Everyone draws their own line. There's always going to be someone doing it better, but they don't live in my skin or my house. I don't mind killing cockroaches, for example. If I could tell them to leave and they did, I wouldn't bother them, but they invade my space and contaminate it with germs, which I also don't mind killing. Same with rats and mice. I'm quite happy to have a big black snake in my yard that finds them tasty. I don't eat dead things, but that doesn't mean I'm not aware that everything dies, sooner or later, including me, and the bugs will have nothing against eating me(at) when my time comes. I eat a bit of dairy, eggs and honey when I feel like it; my kids do too, and my wife even eats a bit of fish now and again; that's where she draws her line. I don't agree with her, but I'm not going to go on about how heartless and cruel she is; she quit eating (other) meat 24 years ago, after meeting me. Those who tell me how cruel and heartless I am, swat mosquitoes when I'm not looking, so what makes them so great? ~DJ Correo Espacio para todos tus mensajes, antivirus y antispam ¡gratis!
