Hi Audrey,

Your daughter might have to bring food along with her. I think the only

" veggie " thing I've seen at Tim Horton's is a Cream Cheese Bagle and an

Egg Sandwich...which doesn't help if she's vegan... Maybe she can bring

along some nut butter or other favorite topping from home to spread onto

a Bagle from work?

At restaurants, I find you can sometimes ask to have something made

which isn't on the menue - for example if they have stir fry's, wraps or

sandwiches ask for one with out the meat. Often restaurants will make

you steamed veggies or baked potatoes as side dishes.

Melanie.

vegetarian. I think it's great she has made this decision even though it is not

my personal choice. I try to help her by buying any food she wants and not

pressuring her to eat meat or even cooking things I know she would like to eat.

She has been getting discouraged lately because of the availability of

vegetarian foods especially when she's at work. She works at Tim Hortons and

often goes right from school to work and tries to eat something on her break.

As her mom I want to keep encouraging her and I've given her the book

" Vegetarian for Dummies " so that she can see her choices aren't too limited. I

realize that there are alot of people on this group that have been vegetarians a

long time. Is there anyone out there struggling like us. I've been trying to

figure a plan to help my daughter with variety of foods so that she doesn't get

discouraged. I'd love to hear ideas and experiences of others as they
