Guest guest
Hi Paola Good to hear that you want to be a vegetarian once again. In my opinion its very difficult to convince any one to become Vegan or even vegetarian unless and until the person feel that way one their own. But here are somehting that you could use. 1. there a number of vegetarians in this world, healthy 2. I'd like to give you my example, me, my husband and rest of our family have been vegetrain (not vegan, we take milk) since birth. and i had my son 2 yrs back and there were absolutely no health issues at all. 3. My dad was in the Air force and he still was able to stay fit without consuming meat. 4. also, I know some friends of mine who have bean meat eaters in past who decided to vegetarian as soon as they decided to have baby and they had absolutely no health issue due to that 5. eating healthy matters, it doesn't matter if that healthy food has meet in it or not. Hope this helps Shree ---------------------- Message: 4 Thu, 23 Feb 2006 15:25:06 -0000 " Paola " <iluvlevine Hello everyone Hi everyone, My name is Paola, I am married and have a six year old little girl. I was a vegetarian for 12 years before I had my daughter. After her birth I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and I was anemic. I was told by doctors here that this was probably caused by an unhealthy eating pattern. I became a vegetarian when I was 12 and I didn't concern myself with replacing protein, iron etc. in my diet. When I had my child, my husband and I decided to start eating small quantities of organic meat again because we feared she might develop the health problems I had. I am much better informed today and I do not think my health problems were attributable to being a vegetarian at all but rather to making bad decisions regarding food. I very much would like us all to be vegetarians again (my husband was also a vegetarian, but started to eat meat as well). The problem is that I am now well informed and have tried to explain all of this to him but he is still adamant about eliminating meat again. Like I said, we hardly eat meat but I want so much to be a vegetarian again. What should I do to convince him that this is not a bad choice for all of us? Thanks, Paola
