Guest guest
Hello Everyone! Thanks for all the ideas! Do you know of an iron-fortified, organic cream of wheat? Are there organic whole grain/refined mixed noodle brands? Our son used to love whole grain noodles, but not right now I don't want to get the ones made all with bleached/unbleached flour. What whole wheat, soft breads do your young toddlers love? I want to avoid additives/preservatives and prefer organic. Guest guest
Hi Jeanne - Regarding the breads, we use a type of Rudy's Organic whole wheat bread that our toddler loves - with peanut butter, almond butter, or hummus. We get it from our local HFS. Also, I often make a banana bread with a recipe from the 'Sinfully Vegan' cookbook. I have tried numerous recipes from this cookbook that I didn't really like, but the banana bread is wonderful! I put lots of finely ground nuts in the bread too, for extra fat and nutrition. My son calls it 'banana cake'. It's nice when little kids think that a healthy bread is such a treat - like a cake - I have to take advantage of it while I can! Guest guest
The Alphabet Pasta by Eden Foods is made from whole grains and is organic and my children love eating the pasta in soup or as a side dish with olive oil and garlic. - Jeanne Yacoubou Wednesday, February 22, 2006 10:39 AM Thanks and more questions Hello Everyone!
