Guest guest
Hi all! My 10 month old son seems to be having a reaction to wheat. I am breastfeeding and have stopped eating wheat. But I have found it hard to cut out bread! I love Bread! Anyone with any suggestions of good wheat free bread? Also wraps- any good wheat free wraps out there? Anyone out there with a wheat allergy? or have kids who have a wheat allergy? Any advice would be great. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks! Guest guest
I have a wheat sensitivity and am a bread/carb lover too. there are some good gluten free alternatives at the health food store (really good cookies!). also www.celiac.com is a good resource for recipes. I have used rice flour in place of wheat. I buy it in bulk from my co-op. I have tried rice tortillas and did not like them. I use lettuce leaves for wraps and am not as sensitive to sprouted breads/tortillas and corn. if you eat dairy, Annie's frozen rice mac and cheese is REALLY good! good luck and if you find any really good alternatives please post. , " veggiemamma " <veggiemamma> wrote: > > Hi all! > > My 10 month old son seems to be having a reaction to wheat. > I am breastfeeding and have stopped eating wheat. > But I have found it hard to cut out bread! Guest guest
I make cornbread pancakes, sometimes with onion to give a hushpuppy flavor, sometimes with sliced veggie dogs to give a corndog effect. I've used various combinations of potato flour, soy flour and buckwheat [which is not the same plant as wheat]. .... Be kind. Be of good cheer.
