Thanks to all of you gracious people who prayed for our poor injured

Gizmo and offered their words of encouragement. We are very

grateful. I decided not to take him to the vet because I realized

that they did not truly care about the animal, being that they said

with a chuckle that it would be cheaper and better just to put him

down, before even looking at him! I am amazed. After such a serious

injury, he is almost back to normal now. For those of you who do not

know, Gizmo is a teddybear hamster that sustained very serious

injuries after falling down the basement stairs in a hard hamster

ball. He was knocked out cold, then when he came to he was

convulsing and making repeatitive movement. He was moving like some

small animals do when they have their skulls crushed for their fur

(I seen this on video in the past.) He had paralysis on one side, a

broken leg, and what looked to be repeatitive strokes. Also, he is

blind now. Another amazing thing is that the night before this

accident occured i had a dream that the lower back of his head was

injured. When i seen that he was showing signs of blindness, i put

it together. The area I seen injured in the dream is where the

ocipital lobe is, one of the functions located there is...you

guessed it...SIGHT! I do not know why i had this dream. I wish that

I would have seen him smashing from stair to stair, that way I would

have been ready to prevent it. Oh well, there is a reason for

everything, i just do not know what it is always. His personality is

different, and I am praying that his sight returns, but he does seem

ok. He is eating, drinking, responding favourably to voice, running

on his wheel, climbing, although he is sleeping more often. Still, i

think that his recovery to this point is nothing short of a miracle.

If you all could have seen him after his accident and how he is now,

you would be amazed too. Thanks again, Shelly
