Guest guest
This kind of goes along with a couple of the different threads, but I just started a new name. There is a book I picked up last year that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. It's a " Fairly OddParents " Thanksgiving theme, maybe a first reader, and the mother serves a tofurky. The little boy wants a traditional Thanksgiving, and well, he finally realizes that the most important part of Thanksgiving is not the food, but being together with your family and loved ones. I think it's a really nice message. My son has only watched the show a few times and I don't know if he's watched at all in the last year, but it really doesn't matter. As soon as I told him they were having a tofurky, he wanted it (and I should mention, he has never even had a tofurky, he just knows what it is). Also, Vegetarian Times has an entire cookbook of Thanksgiving recipes. This is our 2nd year adopting a turkey, and I was quite surprised when my son didn't want a new one, he wanted to adopt Cinnamon again. It's actually quite nice; I just didn't expect it. Well, guess who wasn't on the website this year? I spent forever on the phone finding out if Cinnamon is still alive. They say she is and that they just put new pictures up on the website every year. So, if this is anyone's first year apopting a turkey, you can prepare them that they will be adopting a different turkey next year.
