Guest guest
Hi Everyone. I just joined the group and I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Elizabeth, I am 23 and married to an American GI. We are stationed in Northern Italy now and will be here until 2007/2008. We have one son who is 4. I recently became a vegetarian ( i sometimes use dairy products and eggs but not ery often and i am trying to not all together), I decided to be a veg. for health reasons and ethical. my husband is however not and will never be. And that is partly why i joined the group. My husband and I sometimes agruee over my food choices and the fact that i want our son to be a veg. he is when he is at home, but the school here has no veg option. Anyway, thats really all i wanted to say. Talk to you all soon Elizabeth Elizabeth FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
Hi, Elizabeth, and welcome! I think you'll find plenty of support here. I wonder if vegetarian grocery shopping is difficult in Italy. It is difficult when your partner doesn't share your dietary/ethical views. The key is compromise, as you well know. When your son is older, he will most likely make the choice to declare his own vegetarianism. Many members of this group can attest to that. I thought my husband would never go along with my vegetarianism, let alone the rest of my family, but 11 years into my journey, they are all *almost* veg themselves, and our 2 year old has been veg*n since birth! Things could change for you too. Blessings, Nikki , Elizabeth Ster <veggiemama05> wrote: > > Hi Everyone. > I just joined the group and I wanted to introduce myself.
