Guest guest
I missed most of this post thread due to massive computer problems, but the most useful gifts I got for either of my girls were a GC to a diaper service, blankets hand-crocheted or knit by those so talented, and an aquarium that straps to the side of the crib. The little fishies bob around and it plays tunes. When Lily got older she would entertain herself for a good 1/2 hour with it and I got a bit more (welcome) sleep. Also, bath toys & paints. Oh yes (now Im on a roll) there is a; book called 'Feed Me I'm Yours' (by Vicki Lansky) that has great advice & info and recipes. Our favorite was homemade playdough. And the parenting series by Banes & Ilg was most useful too. They are catichly titled 'my 1 year old', 'my 2 year old', etc. Hope this helps someone.
