Guest guest Posted April 5, 2006 Report Share Posted April 5, 2006 Apricot-Almond Energy Bars 1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats (not instant) 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup chopped dried apricots 1/3 cup toasted slivered almonds 1/4 cup toasted wheat germ 1/4 cup golden raisins 1 egg 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup corn syrup or molasses In large bowl, combine oats, flour, sugar, apricots, almonds, wheat germ, and raisins. In a small bowl beat together egg, oil, and corn syrup. Stir in oat mixture until well combined. Press firmly into 9-inch square baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool on rack. Cut into bars. Store in tightly covered container or wrap with plastic wrap.
