Guest guest
Robyn, These sound like very good suggestions. I cannot vouch for tonic water as I've never heard of it being used for cramps but it works for Robyn. Also, find a curb or stair or a 4 x 4 and put your toe on the edge and drop your heel. then raise up on your toes as high as you can. Do it a few times. Lawanna, I follow the the guidelines of Ayurveda because they have been time tested. I don't think it is a good idea to put ice in your drinks. Anything cold like that slows down and hinders digestion and the internal organs. Once in awhile Rice Dream or something like that is okay but people are better off having food at room temperature or warm. However, it is up to you. GB Re: Good Morning Guru and I have a small question As a former chef, I used to have this problem also, with the addition of painful calf muscles and night leg cramps. Part of the solution is to walk about as much as you can, even pacing with help with circulation. Another necessity is a shoe with good arch support. Keeping well hydrated is essential - your liquid ins and outs should be roughly equal. I have found tonic water particularly helpful in preventing the cramps. Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Guest guest
Tonic water has quinine, which aids the cramps. Another holistic treatment for kidney ailments is to slice or mince fresh ginger, boil for a few minutes, strain, and press the ginger to the back, over the kidneys. Do this for 10 minutes daily. It really helps women who have bloating issues.
