Guest guest Posted April 3, 2006 Report Share Posted April 3, 2006 If you don't have a window you can grow herbs in, you can also (if you are somewhat handy with tools) put 2 fixtures together (actually 2 ballasts drive 2 bulbs instead of 2 ballasts driving one bulb as a regular fixture) to do this go to www.gardenweb.com and and do a search for cheaplighting or something like that. I did this and the site will tell you that each fixture is 1.7 times a s bright as one fixture. It is called overdriving.
