This recipe helps replace the nutrients lost from the loss of blood. The almond skin is essential in this recipe as it has a lot of tannic acid and is astringent so it helps the uterus retain it's shape. According to Ayurveda, during this time of the month is the only time women should eat this except after they give birth so the uterus can go back to normal. Otherwise all almonds should be eaten soaked and without the peel. Eating the peel makes one age. In other words, eating a lot of these, will make your skin look like the almond peel. This is a good recipe to have first thing in the morning for breakfast.
