Guest guest
Curry is both a plant and a mixture of spices. All Indian families used to have (and many still do) their own spice mixtures. Often times curry leaf was included. The British ruled India for quite a while. In their efficienty, they decided to put many of these herbs together so they wouldn't hav to mix them all the time and thus we have curry powder. GB I thought curry was a mix of herbs, Now I know it is a plant. http://www.asiafood.org/glossary_2.cfm?wordid=3260 - Dan Thursday, March 30, 2006 12:44 PM Re: Ala Thel Dala (Devilled Potatoes) Yhaoo problems???
