I'll be at Manna (just down the street Asian grocery) this afternoon, I'll look for that and also the jujubes. There is an Indian grocery 3 doors down from Manna, I'm sure one or the other will have them. AmyF

Guest guest
Hey, I have these growing in my garden. I just thought I had weird chives. They taste pretty good though. I use them when I make fingerling potatoes. I cut the potatoes in fourths, boil til tender, drain put back in pan add butter, some fresh chopped parsley (just a little) and alot of snipped nuri. http://japanesefood.about.com/library/pictures/blnira.htm Japanese chives (nuri) See if you can find some nuri, it's like chives but a better flavor, slight garlic It's good in stir fries, chopped over rice, in salads, etc. I also like to use black rice and black sesame seeds.
