Guest guest
You didn't offend me at all.... by the way, my lady-friend just called... she went to a different branch of the grocery store and got me the rice cooker! Gonna try it out tonight. So what's the general concensus? 1 cup of rice, 2 and 1/4 cups water? I think short grain takes more than long grain - one pamphlet I have lists short grain brown rice as needing 2 1/2 cups water per cupof rice, and long grain needing 1 1/2 cups water. Basmati was kinda middlin' in size, so I tried 2 1/4 and it's worked for years. White or converted rice suggests 2 cups water.
