Guest guest Posted March 26, 2006 Report Share Posted March 26, 2006 Chili Spaghetti (kids love this) 1 1/2 cups TVP reconstituted or frozen Crumbles (thawed) 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup) 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) whole tomatoes, undrained 1 can (15 to 16 ounces) kidney beans or chili beans, undrained 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce 1 tablespoon chili powder dash cumin dash red pepper flakes 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 lb. or more of spaghetti 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese or soy cheese Cook spaghetti as directed on package. While spaghetti is cooking, place 1 tlb. oil in sauce pan and saute TVP or Crumbles and onion stirring occasionally, until onion is tender. Stir in tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin,red pepper flakes and salt, breaking up tomatoes. Cook uncovered over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until as thick.
