Guest guest
Save on electricity and get good hand exercise by using a manual can opener. Very inexpensive . Same with many of the electrical appliances in our kitchens. A manual coffee grinder, hand mixer, etc. And did you know that appliances left plugged in still draw electricity even if not turned on. I have to *save* (LOL) electricity to run my computer and blender. Deanna
Guest guest
Hi Deanna I'm glad you posted this. There are some electrical items I would rather not do without at this stage, but I have become guilty in recent years of leaving appliances plugged in all the time. Quite apart from the waste in ecological terms this is costing me a lot of money in terms of my electricity bill which has shot up in the last few years. Last night I went round unplugging everything that wasn't necessary and I shall make a point of doing that from now on. Perhaps a bit of self-interest will also help the planet. Thank you Christie , " genny_y2k " <genny_y2k wrote: > > Save on electricity and get good hand exercise by using a manual can > opener. Very inexpensive .
