Guest guest Posted March 20, 2006 Report Share Posted March 20, 2006 Broccoli Islands 1 bunch fresh broccoli milk, soy milk, or cream salt pepper garlic powder Cut bits-size florets off each stalk and set aside. Cut bottom 1/2 inch or so from stalk, trim or peel outer layer, and cut stalk into large chunks. Steam chunks until very tender, about 25 - 30 min. Place broccoli stalks in blender and puree with seasonings, adding liquid as needed to make a soup-like consistency. Steam florets until tender-crisp, about 7 min.
